Interesting lens on the moment camera. F5.6 was fairly fast back in the day, especially for 6 x 9 cm format- probably 80-105 mm focal length. Regards, Doc Sharptail |

Mamiya 6 in the "new" version with collapsing lens mount. HP-5 Plus and Delta 3200 are still being made. I think the 3200 film is a fairly recent product. Leica's are always sort of neat, if somewhat overpriced... Regards, Doc Sharptail |

Was looking at the newer to me minty chrome F2 last night. I was of a mind to check out the 43-86mm in the big bright finder. I pulled the normal 50 off of it, and watched the mirror cushion disintegrate before my eyes. Coulda heard a pin drop in here~ and then the chuckles started. It was honestly something out of an old W/B cartoon. Not a severely serious issue, though. I shall clean up what I can, and take it to Computech Camera Repair on Monday for a new cushion. While it's there, I should have the finder cushion replaced as well. Probably 30-40 bucks for the parts and work. Regards, Doc Sharptail |

It must have set somewhere for a long time since it was last used. SW |

The guy who sold it to me said it sat unused for almost 45 years. He had gotten it for a photo club, which he immediately dropped for football. Back in those days, making the team was still a big fat hair deal. He didn't run any more than 3 rolls of film through it. The deteriorating mirror cushion is common to all film cameras. The camera's serial number dates it to '74 or so. Regards, Doc Sharptail |

1/300 sec compur shutter probably still works accurately at the upper speeds. Can't tell if it's CZJ Planar glass or not. Pics should have been taken with a camera with a micro/macro lens rather than a phone. Hope you win this one. The big 6 x 6 screen has a way of growing on one's eye. Regards, Doc Sharptail |

A triotar- probably a Cooke triplet based design. Not in the same league as a Planar, but still a CZJ. Realistically, the camera isn't worth much. The Cord models were made with less bells and whistles than the Flex models. Collector interest drives the pricing on these, and I usually stay away from the un-realistic pricing. There is collector interest in the Exacta as well. A bit on the bulky side compared to the 6 X 9 folders that were in vogue pretty well at the same time period. There's always the Mamiya "C" series Regards, Doc Sharptail |

I'm outbid on the Rollei now and no plans to go after it. I had a Mamiya C220 and C2 back in the day. Got the pair at a garage sale for one money and cheap at that. A camera buff at the RR wanted them worse than I did and away they went for a small profit. SW |

The Rollei sold for $210, and the Exakta for $18 & change. More than I cared to pay for either. SW |

One of my photog friends had a Mamiya C-330, which was pretty well the epitome of Japan made TLR's. He had 3 lenses with it, and the focusing rail was marked for all 3. It would focus a lot closer than the other C series cameras, especially with the 80 aboard. It was worth quite a stack of late 70's dollars to boot. I've never seen one since... Personally, I don't think you're missing much by letting the Rollei-Cord out of your grasp. Finding processing for even C-41 120 film is getting "interesting" these days. Regards, Doc Sharptail |
