Recently converted to a/i for use with digital.

Image

Lot of aperture for a short telephoto.
This one was made in the early 70's, and it's magenta based coatings pre-date the more familiar nikon green lens coatings.

In the image making dept., not bad at all...

Image

Monochrome crop of a G.B.T.'s butt at a little over 80 feet.
F8 at ISO 200. Nice and sharp!

Image

Quick color test with some of Mrs.'s painted ceramic figurines. Back-lit on the living room window sill. Wide-open at f2.5 and ISO 400.

Image

Wide open again at f2.5 and ISO 400 in the mirror.
I is getting as bad as Jackie O. here.
Very short depth of focus at minimum focus distance and wide open.
This one deserves a work-out in normal daylight- as soon as it warms enough...

Pushing it a bit as a birder.
60% crop from about 25-30 feet.
F5.6 at ISO 400.
This little guy was very difficult to track, and I was very lucky to get this frame almost in focus.

I have been very impressed with this lens.
I need to do a side by side with the Q 135 F3.5 in the near future.

Bird photography is a real challenge - they don't hold still worth a darn.

I like detail on the squill. SW
