I found these while cruising the Russian sites. Maybe Mr Hailstone recognizes the dogs.

There were several pics of the bear & dog playing... I think the dog was just relieved not to have been eaten. SW

I figure the bear had just pounded down a 'super-sized' portion of seal or caribou. And a playful young bear at that.

There was no narrative to accompany the photoset... it might be anywhere. Out in the Aleutians? Hard to say. SW

I can't tell is it the dog or the bear that is chained up?

All the dogs have chains. Must be a village ordnance. SW

You sent me that?
Honestly, been to my Yahoo mail , and caribou Adventures to double check, aint there. :-?

You know, there is an Edward Hailstone in England(we all have a cosmic twin) and he has Hailstone .com.....??? I donno, but I do love Polar Bears, especially in stew ;)

I most ussually respond to my mail, though if you send me a dozen, I'd write back one one of them, a few words at least :D I think I kill threads responding too much , maby???

Those dogs are dark, like Wolf Mix's, and Siberian mutts are almost all light in color..Symoyds, Siberian Husky, Nanet, and Akita's...rather yellowish blond or white. Guess The Wolves of Europe/Asia do attack people, unlike North american Wolves, and Wolves there dont cross as easily with domestic dogs. Russia IS full of Polar bears, for sure...just an opinion. :D

I sent it the 4th, six photos, and it did go to a yahoo address. Not wanting to be specific, the front part of the address has 19 letters. You have gotten e-mail before from me. I have sent it again right now to that same address.

The location is Churchill, Manitoba on the west bank of Hudson Bay.

I'd kiss the bears arse too if I was chained up so I couldn't run like hell.
Notice the staking chain on the dog?
