Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

....thought you might get a kick out of this.........sittin' at work today doing some mapping of a county for water management purposes....1"=100' map scale,2' contour intervals-accuracy tolerance +-1/2 '.....was zoomed in tight on my 3D image working the side drainage ditches when suddenly I scared myself when THIS popped into my view....

.....a good ol' Airborne Express jet that just happened to pass underneath our aircraft as it was taking stereo shots for us......I've seen this occasionally over the years, but usually smaller aircraft and farther away:xxrotflmao: .....this,and the following, are "screen shots" off my work monitor that I saved and emailed to myself....;) unfortunately, since your monitors are not equipped as ours are,you wont see it 3D-but you get the idea.......here's a wider out pic after I zoomed out.....note the jet shadow....

....I was able to zoom in close enough to see the pilot in the cockpit on my work monitor...

.....and heres a screen shot of the view I get on both my monitors with the mapping data on the right half.....

.....actually,this is one of the more boring projects I've been stuck with recently-but it sure beat either sweatin'-or freezin' my tail off outside...:xxrotflmao: :grinning-thumbsup: .....hope you got a kick outa this...

.......you're talkin' SONAR buddy... :lol ...we use LIDAR-and it reflects off the water-however,somethimes you can get bodies of water that are fairly clear of mud/silt-and not terribly deep that you can "see thru" the water and get a pretty good estimate of depth....we map topographical features, not lake or ocean bottoms.............yet......... ;) ........get ET or FR8dude to crawl back in the subs... :lol ;)
