Eventually returning home from France, where he had gone as an Army doctor in October of 1917, my Grandfather collected this souvenir. It is a Model 1898 Mauser, dated 1918 from the Eurfurt arsenal. SN#3413. Every numbered part matches, including the stock, and every part seems to have a number, including the magazine clip (those were all numbered?). In 8mm, with a repaired crack at the wrist.
