Never looked at it that way.

Now that I think of it....I also have a Mosin Nagant made in the USA for the Russians, captured by the Germans in WW 1 and after that either sold too or captured by the Finns.
Wish that rifle could take.

Those are match target shooting glasses. The insert for the master eye is a diopter. Old time shooting magazines all featured an ad for a similar device that attached to your regular glasses by a small suction cup.

I never used one of those in my competitive shooting days, but I did put "blinders" on my shooting glasses. Any perceived advantage could result in an extra point or two from a psychological standpoint. SW

It's an "art form" I really don't understand at my tender age. Things are 'dressed up' to look like they are working models from the steam locomotive era. I think. I'm not much into it, myself. SW

That pretty much covers it. A branch of Science Fiction/Fantasy. Gaslamp Fantasy. Depending on how 'purist' you are about it, pretty much anything goes. Steampowered rayguns. Clockwork blimps. Some of it is pure unadulterated crap. Some of it is fun.

its even been present at the annual renesance festival here in shakopee/chaske , sorts fits into the medevil setting as many of the costumes have slightly modern twists

Personally I like art that was created between 1920 and 1940.
It is called "art deco".
I like the little statues from that era, but what I like most is the furniture.
I can't explain why............I just like these pieces of art.

....bein sorta an 'art-teest' myself, I've always had a love for the art deco style....but Rembrandt is still my all time favorite hero,mentor,inspiration when it comes to art and drawing/painting.....
