i used one of my lever guns this past weekend on steel targets in the north/south dakota state SASS shoot , the 1866 in 45 colt , i found its a bit temperamental of the cartridge OAL but solved my issue after the second stage , was using some my friend and i made last winter with his cast round nose 200 grains loaded on his press , it works fine with my 200 grain round nose flat points loaded on my press , they run fine on my 1873 revolvers so ill just use them there , |

I had one in 44-40 that liked to jamb if you tried to run it too fast. SW |

not had an issue running it fast with my ammo in the past but this OAL issue is new and a true problem , im going to be a lot more diligent in the future with the press settings |
