The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. I took the Traditions flintlock to the range this morning and gave her a try. With 100grs of pistol Pyrodex under a patched ball, new flint and the pan primed with the same powder, it went off with maybe a 3sec delay. It's like I was hearing pops and that sort till it went. Loaded another round and nothing happened, reprimed the pan 3 times and still nothing. I used a wire to clear the touch hole to no avail. Worst of it all is my bullet puller has too coarse a thread and I couldn't pull the round, still loaded and in a safe place in the garage. I honestly don't know what might have happened and I don't know what to do other than attempt to reprime and shoot it clear. I'm losing faith in this type of ignition system, how in Hell did they do it 200yrs ago????

I waited till now to see about the flintlock. I ended up taking the gun apart at the range this morning, removed the threaded vent and snuck some more powder inside, it went bang, reloaded and still the same problem, using ground up powder for priming. I think I have it solved, the previous owner tried to remove the breech plug, managing to turn it ever so little, taking the vent slightly off center from the pan. I can tell that because the hinge is all buggered up, that and I really need some 4f for the pan as it goes off much faster. She's all cleaned and buttered and in the safe till next time. Will get a pic or two of all muzzleloaders I own soon, looks as if I'm bitten by this thing, I bought another one Monday!

My BP arrives Friday, I went through Powder, Inc. of AK. First I needed to send a 'RELEASE' stating this and that, then an online order Sunday which shipped Monday. I must say at around $20 per pound shipped with HAZMAT and signature, UPS, not a bad deal. Had to buy 5 lbs to make a case so I got 3lbs FFG and 2lbs FFFFG for priming. Naturally, I won't waste any time getting to the range!
