The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. I have a chance to pick up a pre 1900's model 1894 winchester in 38 55 with the round barrel. The rifle looks to have been relued at some point and the stock refinished. What is the value of one of these reblued? It's not really my type of gun , but I thought it would be fun to pick up some blck hills ammo and shoot it.

Now this is going back about 3 years but I had an oprtunity to pick one up that was refinished but with the octagonal barrel for $ 850.

Well I took the plunge and bought it. It has a nice bore and crisp action. I told the guy it was probly worth $500 -$600 but I was only willing to spend $240 0n it. I think he need the money cause he let it go. I fixed my gun shoo guys computer so he gave me 2 boxes of 38-55 from black hills for it. now I just need to go to the range.
