Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I have an older friend who has asked me the value of a Winchester he bought new in the 60's. He has fired maybe 10 rounds from it over the years and it looks like it. The serial number on it is 29129XX. I have seen the rifle and it is pretty.

I don't know. He said he bought it in the mid 60's but is not sure exact year. How would one know? Is it by serial number or configuration?

You know as I sit here I remember I have a big book some place on the history of Winchester. I bought it only because it also had military arms in it. I'll dig it out and see if it has the info. That is if I can find it!!!

Well I tried. All the book told me was over 5 million were made with no other break down.

Since Wrenchester went out of biz, even post 64 SRCs are starting at 350 & go up from there... mostly up. So are the Marlins, BTW. SW
