Good read, I have the book about Marlin and although dated has much good info.

I probably have more Marlin's than any other make, my first a 39a Dad bought for me when I was in the second grade, I'll be 63 tomorrow so that gives an idea of it.'s age, still shoots as good as when it was new. Years ago , probably when I was 12 or 13 , a small part broke, a spring loaded guide, like a piece of keyway stock with one corner angled off and tapered to the end. Dad and I took an old automotive sock adsorber rod, ground and polished a replacement which is still in it, works good so why argue with success.

Today I picked up my birthday present from the Wife, a nice litt 1894CL in 32-20. It will be good when I get a bit older and cannot handle the recoil from the heavy thumpers I am currently playing with.

I have a mdl 336 rc in 30/30

my dad is the marlin guy in my family though
he has the 35 rem and 45 70. (he wants a 450 and 444)
