Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

very interesting read and quite educational historicaly speaking as well , i enjoyed it

"An aside: Since, following the introduction of the horse, these tribes (and others) had significantly depreciated the buffalo herds long before market hunters came to the game (a little known fact), conflict was inevitable. First, the horse, then the gun dramatically improved tribal hunting effectiveness. As infant mortality plummeted, tribal populations exploded. In response, hunting pressure compounded. Even without intervention of market hunters and U.S. Cavalry, the massive buffalo herds were long-since doomed and could not have lasted to the turn of the century! "

i always thought this , but its the first time ive seen it from someone else ,

when I first started working up loads for my 45/70 I talked to bill several times on the phone.he was the ballistician for the accurate powder company.one day he told me he would be gone for a while as he was getting called up to fly snakes again.wow we swapped a few cobra stories.anyways thats how I got hooked up on AA5744 for the 45/70.
I just thought y'all might enjoy the article.
