I always wanted a kick butt air rifle, and thought why not get a 22 cal. I was looking at these for some time, they are not cheap so I waited till I found a used one. they have a built in suppressor, and take a small plastic mag. Very accurate, I was able to take out a large bird with a head shot at about 25 yards. It uses a special bicycle pump or a scuba tank with adapter to charge it up to 3000 psi. with the right pellet you can get around 1200fps. |

Nice! I grew up with a Benjamin Sheridan 'Blue Streak' .20 cal. It was a 7 pump with peep sights, like this one. I used to take the heads off of those little bug-eater birds sitting on the power lines. Had lots of practice shooting the little lizards off of the wood pile too. Got in a bit of trouble once when I missed a bird, bounced a pellet off of a metal pole and took out one of my Grandma's chickens |

You should be seeing about 800-900 fps with a lead 14.3 gr dome outta that Marauder. Word has it the 16 gr JSB Predators shoot very well out of those Crosman mfg'd bbls. That 1200 fps is just the maker's slightly optimistic advertising gaffleblab. You might see 1100 fps out of it with the lead free pba pellet- at a cost of accuracy. Stick with lead, and you'll be fine. Congrads on a nice rifle! Regards, Doc Sharptail |
