Had the 52 Repro out for a bit on Friday at the gravel pit.
Finally got her into the almost n.i.b. Weaver G-4 that's been laying in wait.
3/4" Weaver rings to Weaver base.

It took all of 3 shots to get her zeroed  The fine target cross hair in there is a joy to work with. So are the friction turrets. It's been quite a while.

25 yds on the soda can pull ring tab rivet~ kneeling. One shot was all it took.
Win Super-X 37 gr H/P's from the early 80's by lack of a barcode on the box....
This was one of the earlier rifles to max the BDT at 25 yds~ #18 if I recall correctly.

I had a lot of trouble with this rifle last fall~ first I blamed the Rem Thunder-turds I was using, and then the rifle...

Turns out I had pooched the Banner 4-12 x 40 on a springer air rifle, and didn't know it.
The little G-4 Weaver was all it took to straighten things out.

There's a lot of shooter's transference to be had, if one is willing to go whole hog. The work with the air rifles and pistols keeps me sharp for the rimfire rifles, which in turn keeps me tuned up for big game...

I don't think I'll be giving up the air gun habit anytime soon

i've always heard you should invest in the glass just as you do in the rifle , sometimes more for one that shoots really well , i have always believed that the cost does not equate to the performance , it is often marrying the just right combination ,

im still working on that with a couple of mine but i found it with my M14 type , back then i read the sites extensively and absorbed all i could , i sorted the good and bad and looked into what i really wanted , it came together - shoots far better than i ever will again ,

I think the K-4 P&C/H I picked up on the weekend is going to end up on this rifle~ eventually

Having a lot of fun with it on the pneumatic air rifle right now...
