I bought a Mossberg 144LSA without your guys prior approval. See the Mossberg 144 LS was the first gun I ever got when I was 16, and for some unremembered reason, sold it. Today while scrounging a small dealer's store he had this LSA for sale without sights for $200. I didn't know how to reach you to get your OK, so I succumed to the temptation....
I will be looking for the sights, a Lyman 17A front, I think; with the dovetail. need also a rear sight, possibly the S331? Havent researched that stuff yet. Hope you guys don't hold a grudge. Won't get anymore Mossbergs...I am done.

Looks like you slipped a nice one by me. Can't blame you for liking them, though. Just Sunday afternoon I was plinking a 6" steel plate at 200 yards with one of mine. Once I got the rear sight adjusted to the correct elevation, I could hit it 3 or 4 times out of every 7 round magazine standing. Really pissed the guy off next to me trying to bench sight his deer rifle and never touching it.

The S331 and Lyman 17A are the correct sights. You can find the Lyman 17A at . They also list the S331, but they are not always in stock and I have always found better prices watching the auctions closely. The S100 and S130 sights will also work just as well on this rifle, just not the correct ones.

Thanks MM, going to hit the shows before spending rather big bucks at havlins. But if I don't have luck at the shows, I may just have to bite the bullet.

nice 22, even IF it is a moossey and not a stevens....i bet you will have to find some Eley and try it out~ i wish i had my stevens 416 back~but i still have my H&R reising
