the rifle on the bottom is my condII , it started life as a MLM mkII in 1892 , it was converted to 22 cal in 1912 , for the british navy , its wearing a modified mkIII handguard in the photos here ,



this rifle is perhaps my most prised possession when it comes to my trainers , i could live without the rest[as much as i love them] but this one id like to hold till i depart from my caretaking position in this world ,

handguard switched out this past spring , it looks much better now , in keeping with what it should have ,

That is one clean looking rifle sir! Sure is beautiful!

The British .22 trainers are just beautiful. It looks good Asquare. I like the US M1922 also, but sadly have neither.

always wanted one - but im afraid ill just settle for the M1903A3-4gery roy helped me sleeve , its just too high priced and id buy another brit trainer before id spend that for the US one , but i do indeed share your fondness for them , they are beautiful , and i suspect high quality and a shooter too

Those are some great looking rifles Michael.
IMHO they all are prise possessions.

Personally I own two .22LR trainers.
Both are Mosin Nagants.
One is Hungarian, the other is Polish.
Never took the Hungarian trainer to the range though.
Our gun law doesn't allow it, because this one is in my collection.
The Polish trainer is on my shooters license.
I took that one to the range very often.
With the right ammo it shoots great at 25 and 50 meters.
In my case the CCI standard velocity and the American Eagles high velocity perform best.

martin, can you photograph these one day and post them [im assuming you havent because i dont remember] id love to see them, ive more than once thought of selling off all of my other rifles and concentrating only on trainers, but then id have that - "ill keep just this one, and maybe this one, and oh, i cant let that go" syndrome going on wouldnt i ?
