The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Just picked up this "Russian W248" .22 trainer at an on-line auction.

Haven't received it yet, but think it is actually a POLISH .22 WZ-48. Or maybe it is a previously unknown Russian .22.

Either way there was a article in Shotgun News a few years ago where they set one up with a PU scope and it was an accurate shooter and looked cool! Here is a photo of one of my 91/59's to get an idea.

There was a sporterized version of these rifles at the local surplus store some years back.

I hear that a number of these had worn chambers and throats and the importer rechambered them for .22 Magnum caliber, which cleaned out the bad spots and made the guns into some pretty usable hunting rifles.

Received this WZ-48 trainer today. Bluing and wood in very good shape--all matching. Verrrryyy light trigger pull--possibly too light.
