Okay, for something different. Guess how many .22 shells there are.

For starters there are about 1000 in the CCI box, it's not full. And behind the card board box with ORM-D you can just see the corner of a square Remington box. In otherwords the box is about 2' deep. Kind of like counting jelly beans, you just never know how it's stacked.

Good luck. Oh and what do you win? The Respect of your peers.

I can't believe you guys, a trick??? Me???? :lol

Nice guess A Square, there are just over 10000. No, I didn't count all of them only the full boxes. I have to have something to shoot in that Ruger Charger if I can ever find one. The only reason they are so organized is I had just moved them.

This doesn't include all the boxes and partial boxes scattered around the loading bench and in the shooting bags etc.

I usually shoot the .22 shot out of my S&W M17. They wont cycle an auto. Great for field mice when you're mowing. Also lets cats know you don't like them crapping in your flower beds. :D

I bet those stores of ammo are the result of mental trauma acquired in your kiddom by being OUT of .22 shells. For days and days.

I had stash sites around the farm where I would put a few rounds in those old coffee cans. It didn't stop me from being out but it postponed it some.

you got that right - and dad kept a close eye on his stockpile - it was easier to drink his booze of snitch his smokes than get his spare rounds
