soon - when it arrives , but that will be a few days ,

i have been looking for one since i missed the messed with one at an auction a year or so ago , it just looked like something i should have ,

you will like this one mario - it looks like an M1garand , almost exactly like one ,

im not sure if stevens was wanting to get accepted as a trainer contractor or if these came later as a kids rifle that fathers might recognize and buy for their kids , im just starting to look into it and the research will be fun i think

well...no, they were never made in any great quanity....when you get yours, remove the buttplate and there will be a number there in the wood. over on the 22 forum, the fellows have a M87 club with their numbers posted!
the going price has always kept me away from getting one good one....they are a nice collectable stevens.....but were a post war seller~ not much is known, but the fellows over there are now comming in to them....i have sold all mine except a carbine, and a shorts model, a old 87A and the SS 87 machII i made :-)

if you bought her for anything less than $150 you stole it!...they will list up to $500 sometimes.... :crzy:

thanks for the info - i bought it because i like it , no other reason , im starting a slide to the dark side in 22s ,

ive been accumulating them for years , mostly trainers and mostly commonwealth , but ive got a few US [not the current/recent past releases from CMP] mine are very old and im also collecting the ones i wanted as a kid but could not afford , these are 40s-70s ,

im not really too concerned as to value - i pay what im willing to and not what im not , its more about if its what i really want or not these days , i hope to get top shoot what ive bought before the end comes :lol
