I have been after one of these for some time, I have an 03'A3 and it needed its older brother next to it in the safe. Now I just need to get the proper bolt, the rifle dates to 38' or 39' it has a 42' barrel, I think its been restocked at some point in its life. Still trying to find out whats proper on it.

thats probably proper for the rebarrel in WWII , but i think it originally had a grasping groove stock , you dont say if its a springfeild or rock island , but if you are correct on the date IIRC think rock island was no longer making them
