The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Top to Bottom: Indian Wars: 1884 Springfield 45/70
Spanish American War: 1898 Springfield (Krag) 30/40
WWI/WWII: 1903 Springfield 30/06
WWII/Korea: 1945 M1 Springfield (Garand) 30/06

very nice examples of these rifles , you [like me] obviously have interest across the board of american long guns , i did choose a few years ago to divest my US collection in favor of my brit 303s but ive never lost my appreciation , those are fine examples ,

my humble opinion is you should set your sights for future purchase on an M1 carbine , an M1903A3 , and an M1917 , to round out the indian wars through WWII ,

Collecting indian wars alone will drive you nuts. Starting with the Allen conversions you also have rifles, carbines, short rifles, cadet rifles, officers rifles, marksman rifles, forager shotgun, 4 calibers (not including different powder charges and bullet weights) multiple sights, lock types, fixed and removable bayonets and the ever present after market put together guns by companies like Bannerman.
