Fired at 100 rds and tested 3 different bullets. I had a little difficulty getting consistancy. One bullet would give me a decent group one time, and then the next group would open up some. Though the bad groups were not bad by some standards; I like them to be more or less consistant.
The bottom groups were the best, and that 63 grain Sierra seems to be preferred by all the AR barrels I have. Those are 50 yd targets so in actuality the 10 ring on 100 yd targets is normally twice the size and would be the 9 ring on those targets.
The 60 grain 5 shot target showed real promise, but the 10 shot target was spread out wide. Don't know why..I would say in general the average for 5 shots overall thru the day was about 1-1/2 inches.
I usually operate this way: After getting the gun in the 10 ring, I may switch bullets and shoot 5 to see if there is an impact change. If there is, I guestamate click changes and shoot 5 more. Same thing when I go to the third bullet, so normally I am not so intent on hitting the dot, rather than seeing the difference of impacts between the bullets. The 100 yd impact by the way was 3" higher than the 50 yd zero, so I had to go lower about 10 clicks.
