Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Just picked up this "correct grade" H&R Garand from CMP... it's PRETTY!!!!

Nice lookin' rifle there! When I got my SA they didn't have the Winnie or the H&R or I would have picked up one of those. How does the bore gauge on that one?

What year was it made? My H&R was made in 1955 with a similar S/N range.

Probably has a barrel around 1-55 give or take a month

Don't have the tools to check the TE on it - but given it's a correct grade, those usually are at a 1 or 2... need to check the barrel date and other components...
