Post subject:  M1 Carbine Dates of manufacture

I found this information posted on another site (scanned pages). This came from a publication, but cannot footnote the author yet since I don't know which book it's from. The author stated that the date ranges are estimates and that some carbines will not match the listing based on a prime contractor using up their serial numbers (and continuing to produce carbines until the next serial number range was assigned).
