I just saw in our Big5 ad their sale on M1 carbines at 900 plus dollars for an Inland. Have I been so out of it that this is the going price other then DCM?

It makes the 1943 Inland a seller I have bought from complete with bayonet, stock pouch and sling for 600.00 a steal! Now I thought I was out of touch on Modal A parts now that I'm looking for a door but my beloved Carbines?

Now if I can convince Bruce to sell me that FAT marked Carbine for half of what he paid for it

Well I checked and I have a Winchester, Inland and National Postal Meter. So what others am I missing?

My neighbor has a Rockola he bought 20 years ago and has promised it to me and I have an incomplete Standard Products in the garage that belongs to a coworker who can't decide what he wants to do with it.

m1 carbine prices: are completely ridiculous and way out of line with the number of carbines produced. remember the days when scarcity made something expensive? well, they made 6 million m1 carbines.

I bought a 1-43 dated inland (blue sky import) a couple years ago in a pawnshop for 170 bucks out the door. wound up trading that for a finn M24(Bohler-stahl) AND a B barrel m39. Gotta tell ya, I'll make trades like that all day long. Bet the m-2 made a great little submachine gun, but the m-1 strikes me as an oversized pistol that wants to be a rifle soooo bad!

glad to see these things finding good homes, I just can't understand the fervor for them, or the prices they are bringing.

I was dow at Big 5 the other day and took a look at the one carbine they had in the rack. It was an Inland and the wood was pretty beat. Surprised me that the bore was shiny though. put it to my shoulder and What the heck! the peep was broken off the rear sight! I pointed it out to the lesbian behind the counter and it was like "so what, I'll mention it to the boss later."
didn't think to look at the barrel date. Then the armored car driver showed up and she more or less grabbed it out of my hand and put it in the rack. Great customer service.

No way would I pay $999 for the garbage those idiots sell.
