The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

Won a 1903A3 at an on-line auction yesterday and have been cruising the forums since. I've seen a couple of references to "unissued 1903A3's" sold back in the day by the DCM/CMP and am wondering if the one I got could be one.

I would say so. You got it at a good deal. Looks all original and to me is worth $200 more than you paid. Problem is with those near perfect ones, you kinda of don't want to shoot them.

Thanks for the feedback.

One of the auction employees is a regular over on another forum and PM'd me with a description of the rifles (1903A3, Eddystone and a Winchester P-14) that I got. Said they were all very nice and that he would move mine to the front of the line to be shipped.

As soon as they arrive, I will post more pics.

The rifles I got came today, including the 03A3. Got to take a close look at all of them before the dealer put them in his safe for the 10 day waiting period. Noticed several cartouches not pictured in the auction pictures: A "P" in a circle behind the trigger guard and the letters "OG" on the stock behind the pistol grip.

I'm not sure what these mean, but other than that , the rifle is pretty much as described --"as new" condition.

I'll post some pics after I get them from the dealer 10 days from mow.

The P is a firing proof, The 'OG' is a rebuild inspection stamp for Ogden Army Depot.
