Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I got this 03A3 at the last Darnell auction and it finally came. Seems to be pretty close to original. All parts seem to be Remington, except the bolt body which says "B&S" on it. The bore is very good--a 4 groove that measures between a "0" and "1" on the CMP gauge.

There is a small chip out of the butt.

I got this primarily to shoot. I'm not sure whether I should have the chip repaired or let it go. Which detracts more from the value--the chip or the repair?

since its a decent stock , well marked , its more valuable untouched , but its your rifle , might consider a new stock for shooter and save this for collector value
