Attention New Members and those new registering! We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I never really cared all that much for the M1 Carbines. But I keep going back to the CMP website and looking at them. All the paperwork is in, all I have to do is push the button.

Anyway, what do you think of them? I only shot one once and I keep thinking I should spend my money on a Lone Star Rolling Block instead.

im going with the crowd this time - push the button , its something you wont regret [besides i have the wwI sling and oiler you will need - and i need you to fix my 45-70s and 45LC ammo] its a really important rifle to own :grin:

A-Square, If you have the time (and gas $) it would be worth it to
go to the north store & pick through them. A lot of the higher grade ones had bores way over. I got a standard rack grade that had a MUCH better barrel than most of the service grades. And it was better looking externally than most of the ones I saw as well

Bruce, a few times I've heard you mention going to the north store and pick up items - can one do that if they have their paperwork already sent in and on file??? And where is the store?

You don't even have to have the paperwork sent in....just bring the required documents with you. It is at Camp Perry just north-west of Sandusky Ohio.

well they are actually making new ones, but they cost almost what an original from the CMP would run you.
