Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

We still had both the M3 and M3A1 in inventory when I got out in '89.
Qualified expert with it, though since I wasn't authorized to carry it (M880 recovery vehicles operators only) I couldn't wear the submachinegun qualification badge. Benefits of range support was I got to shoot a lot of stuff I was not authorized to carry. :D

I carried one a few times while guarding the missile sites in 1960 in WY. Never got to fire it though.

They are pretty fun to shoot. Real slow rate of fire. We were taught to fire off single shots by manipulating the trigger, not hard to do when they fire that slow. I think you could fire a 1911 faster. Only had to put the rounds on a silhouette at 50 yds. not too hard to do.

Never fired one but got the chance to examine one closely a few years back.
I was suprized at how nicely balanced it felt in my hands.

It was an early model with the crank handle charger.
