Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I helped a guy out at work and he gave me his deceased fathers Krag. I only did a fifteen minute job for him. I told him he owed me nothing. He said he had no relatives and wanted someone who would appreciate the gun to have it. It is a sporterized cut down rifle. I am going to make it into a carbine. I ordered the stock and metal bits to at least make her mostly whole again.

My best at restoration. I am not so good with wood. I like it but I made many mistakes. This took me a couple of weeks.

It is as close to original I can get with out a rebarrel and more talent. I might be able to make it look like a Philipines Constiable but I don't won't to temp luck.
