that would be correct bruce , early ones were tending toward a brown-blue , the late ones might have looked a bit black-blue but none were parked , i cant even say ive ever seen a butchered deer rifle in a parked refinish ,

Anytime your rifles is too ugly send it to me and I will give it a loving home. Ugly is only skin deep---the group size is permanent.

I got the hint there, I'll take off the old finish and get it ready to send your way. At least when its back here it can be stored until I find a good stock for it.

does 'leave' involve a trip back here ? its a good thing if you get out and hunt if it does , not many of the hunters i know have been gettin anything and we need to cull the heard

i just tried to shoot mine for the postal shoot - i will never be 20 again and my eyes cannot use these old sights - ill post my targets which prove the rifle shoots well but i dont , my groups were good the placement on the target were not , and i could not fix it to shoot it for the match - so i went back and got my enfeild no4mk2 it worked well enough to mail them in - im just not good with irons anymore , its all a blurr

Looks to me like you just need to adjust your sights to get the group centered in the bull. That first group would be hard to beat if centered on the bull.

i know - i agree , good group - all the rifle i might add , but the other two show my attempts to adjust , it wasnt in the cards today , i was there to shoot submitals , i need to go back and concentrate on the rifle , nut then there were three or four sources af ammo mixed together and some softpoints got in there too

Thats a very nice looking rifle there

I think you need to donate the stock to me

gotta agree on this one - i was truely fortunate with this one , im also thinking this would be the one i divest if i go ahead with that plan too , its way to nice to sit idel as much as it does , im keeping the sling tho
