Yesterday's Weapons Forums

Just curious, Mosin Nagant collecting is what brought me into firearms forums in the first place.

At one point I thought about collecting them, but that was when they took off price wise. Sold everything off but 2 rough 1943 M91-30s that were gifts.

Same for M.95 Steyrs - only have 3 or 4 left now. SW

.....used to have a bunch-especially M-91's....but had to sell them off ....needed funds for other things,sadly...

Ahh! There is some activity on the Mosin forum still! To be honest, I am only sitting on a half a dozen Mosins anymore myself. I got into them back in 2008, buying refurbished 91/30’s here locally from RGUNS when they were only $89 a pop. I quickly started cruising gunbroker looking for deals flying under the radar on uncommon M91 variants. Then my daughter was born and prices skyrocketed. Looking back, I really should have focused on those $89 91/30’s and bought them up right and left; and left the $300 M91’s alone. LOL Today I focus more on older commercial firearms that I like to shoot, but I will always have a deep love for my Mosin Nagants.

I bought two 91/30’s, a 44 and a 38 back when I had my C&R. No particular interest in them. They were still pretty cheap at the time. Gave one to one of my son in laws for Xmas a few years ago. Along with a spam can of ammo. Think I bought enough ammo to last ten lifetimes.
