I shot this target @ 100 yds. today with my 1884 Berdan II rifle. 10.75x58r Russian brass using 330gn paper patched bullet, 20gn IMR SR 4759 (Pufflon filler), CCI #250 primer, and COL of 2.900". I used my new MagnetoSpeed bayonet mount chronograph and got 10 shots ave. around 1375 fps. COW book says ML (BP) is 1410 fps. Below is the rifle in question. P.S. I know it is not a MN but more people view this forum than the "Obsolete" category! |

I would count that as a Mosin since I'm sure Mr. Mosin stared at it a lot. Nice info on the brass and load. I did handle one or fire one at the last milsurp shoot in Gibsonburg, Ohio. I was in awe. Best Regards, Mark |

These are great shooters. I have one that's Finnish Civil Guard marked I obtained when I was in Finland. |

How hard was it to get into the country? I've heard stories about guns languishing in customs for months. I saw a Comblain in Europe I could afford but was leery of trying to ship it back. SW |
