Guy in the local Armslist was begging for somebody to sell him a Mosin Nagant. So I sold one of my thirteen to him, a scout scoped 91/30 with a 2X7 variable scope, the accessories, and 80 rounds of ammo.

Of course, then I turn right around and buy a new Mosin, a Finn M28 Civil Guard Mosin Nagant.

OK, got that unlucky thirteen out of the way. Now have Mosin Nagant #14. A Finn M24. Darned thing has a barrel made by SIG!

is there any market for the sported westinghouse versions that are restoreable ? just asking because i had someone tell me he had one for sale , are these like other milsurps and basically shunned if sported or is there a market for parts and interest in parting them out ??

i think his barrel is uncut but the stock is

Still looking for a Chat, and a Finn M27.

Grey blanket guy has a Chat and you got one more day (I think). Spell the entire armory name and it should pop up. I think it was $390 last time I checked. I can't imagine getting one cheap is still possible.

"Chat" is the armory. I can't spell French either. Any collector of French firearms…should….recognize the name right away. I've stared at enough French firearms to pick up a few armory/arsenal names as I like Lebels and Berthiers.

Man, I like French stuff, but top dollar for a French make of a Russian rifle is beyond my finances. Nice rifle though.

Never understood the auction posting thing elsewhere.

I think it's prohibited elsewhere from people pimping their own stuff. This site isn't exactly the land of economic opportunity = not a lot of action in the trader.
