do they generally just add info to later additions? or do they leave some out too? id assume they would incorporate corrections to the old data that they found to be incorrect as well?

reason i asked about leaving stuff out, i thought id heard that somewhere, i have a relatively old copy of brophys "KRAG" book, i though t i got it somewhere that an update was made but some info left out - actually had someone interested in buying mine to supplement his copy, i may have misunderstood tho.

Lapin has added at least 20 pages and probably made corrections. I guess it depends on the type book. I hope he did not delete anything of interest but I think its just expanded.

oh, ok, thats not so bad. ive been thinking in terms of the LES that cost me nearly $75, and a few others that were around $50. i like my books, but i like my rifles better and those $ add up to rifles.

I think they are well worth the money if acquired in a timely fashion. Had I invested in some earlier I could have easily recovered the cost of the books by not loosing valuable collector rifles through ignorance in one way or another. Knowledge is far more than money when lack of information leads to embarassing memories of establishing a learning curve the hard way. I would rather have the knowledge than wincing with visions of mongolian cluster flocks.   :D :D :D Before & after.

Equally important is finding a forum like this with knowlegable members who are willing to tutor others and exchange informaton to save their hides.

Don,

Have you finished getting your 27 restored or what parts do you still lack?

Is that the one your daughter is holding in the pic? I had not looked closely before, but it looks like a 27.
