"Rescue" M39

I picked up this little M39 for $75. It was a Century castrat... errr... import that they converted to a "tactcicool" M39 by putting a black duracote on the stock... :mad:

Anyway - found a new stock for it - it came unfinished. Found a new handguard for it - it came finished - managed to pretty closely match the finish of the two - add a Finn sling - and viola! Happy rifle! :grin:

Anyway - no real collector value at this point - I call it my "elk gun", but I haven't actually taken it elk hunting yet. I can hit the narrow edge of a 1/4" deep baking pan at 50 yards with it all day long though...

thats the "Best of the Best"...... :grin:

You cant go wrong with a Mosin Nagant!!!! Its what I use , the vast majority of the time to feed my family with.

Baking pans for a target? The last time I used a pan out of the kitchen for a target my wife smacked me with it when she found out.
