Not that you all needed to see our living room floor again, I took advantage of a rare day off to capture this photo of my small collection of Mosin Nagant carbines.
From top to bottom....
1946 Izhevsk, 1944 Izhevsk, 1955 Romanian, 1954 Polish, 1943 M38 with dark laminate stock, 1943 M38 with a light laminate stock. Both of the M38s are Izhevsk and are in true M38 stocks (no bayonet groove). They also have no wrist bolts and each have different sling slot configurations.
There's always lots of variations involved when collecting Russian and Soviet rifles.

I'm looking for a Hungarian and a Chinese to fill out the M44 family.

The walls are about six feet in any direction from the image A Square. The small bit of reflective light is simply the sun highlighting the lowest edge of the couch. The natural light comes in from the skylight and that one small beam still fell within the crop border when I edited the pic. :)
I'm sure everyone has seen enough of the floor by now but that room has the best daytime light. Thanks. :D

I agree Don, the Russian / Soviet weapons are a vast collecting arena. Variations without end. One is too many and a hundred is not enough. They are addictive. :D

i like it , the natural lighting is perfect for that , i would not have guessed that to be a couch , i had a contractors vision of an exotic wall - curved and faced in metal , and i was thinking "where can i do that"

but now im back to the thought "why again am i not collecting these fine rifles?"

very nice collection

Love those carbines!

This was a moving pic (carbines only). I moved less stuff (Ford ranger truck loads) than rifles. The move has since had me whittle down the collection a bit. I DON'T want to do that again :-(

Last weekend I filled one of the voids with this Chinese T53 in a very nice wartime Soviet stock.

The carbine is totally mismatched but in excellent condition. A good find especially at $80. :)
