O K Outlaw,
I have a question for you.
You are a collector of mosins and I want to learn what to look for!
I am not a collector but when I have a chance to puruse the gun stores I want to know what to look for.
I have read several posts talking about PU and PEM snipers!
What are they and what do I look for besides the holes ( plugged or unplugged) in the receiver?
On a M44 what do you look for as far as collectability?
I have seen any number of 91/30's M44's and steyrs that I have passed on as they had bad bores, which is what I look for first.
The rest is all window dressing to me.
How about a good dialog here to help me ( and a lot of others) out!
Maybe a novice collectors forum.

Didn't think anyone but you would understand the (Outlaw).
Good info tho.
I'm not much interested in the ex-snipers but everyone else seems to be..
Thought I should know what to look for.
Have 3 91/30's so think that is enough unless I see something unusual.
Like the M44's and steyrs better.
I think the steyr has more history but that is just my Opinion.
