Ah - I see. It wouldn't hurt me to lay off buying... but I don't smoke or drink... Like the M.95 Bulgarian trainer I just got for 75... Using $5 a pack for easy math, that sum = 15 packs of cigarettes. Or 1 1/2 cartons. I can't price beer or alcohol, but I bet it wouldn't take much to equal that.

Another rationalization is that when I've gone to that "big roundhouse in the sky", preppy daughters can have a whopper of an auction! 8-)

But I suppose all that just labels me as a hopeless addict - making up excuses to buy more shooters that will not be shot all that much.

Well, as we go through life, we all spend our $ on something. I know compulsive investors who plot & scheme how to spend each extra penny so they can retire large... and they all just lost their collective butt on the stock market crash! :-o

So I'll continue to buy old rifles. I can still pass random drug/alcohol tests @ work! :bigrin:

....well you got me all fired up with this thread.....just got a Finn 91 from 'hogger,and got a 91/30 on the way from ET.....I'm so excited I dont know whether to leave the 'seat' up or down... :rotflma:

....the Finn was a 'barter' with hogger for a portrait,the other is a swap with ET for a K31-and some extra goodies thrown in with the 91/30...win/win for all.... :bigrin:

The M.95 long rifles painted black and de-milled by a large hole over the chamber came here from Bulgaria. They were used for manual of arms & close order drilling by what we would call high school students and cadets.

Otherwise, Bulgarian M.95s have a national crest on the receiver ring and the maker ( Steyr or Budapest) and year of mfg on the left receiver rail.

A very few have BRNO on the receiver ring and wouldn't I like to find one of those! SW
