Been to Germany last weekend with Rene(Dutch Sako)
We had a great time over there.
Weather wasn't that good, but I did bring back two Mosin Nagants.
Just a few quick snap shots.
I still have to clean both of them.
More pictures when I'm ready cleaning.
This could take a while though.
Work is consuming all my time these days.
I brought back 2 Mosin Nagants.
First one is a Finned M91 manufactured by New England Westinghouse.
There's quite some history attached to this one.
Stock is 1905 Tula and has the German "Deutsches Reich" stamp on the right side meaning it was captured by the Germans in WW 1.
After that it was captured or bought by the Finns.
You know them Finns.
They used all spare parts they could find to keep the rifle going.
There are pre and post 1928 Izhevsk stamps, Tula stamps, Sestroretsk stamps and of course the NEW stamp.
I do have to look up the meaning of the "P" stamp in the 2nd picture.
Wish this one could talk.
Some pictures:Second Mosin Nagant I bought is a Finnish M91/30 manufactured by Tikka in 1944.
I couldn't leave this one behind.
It just looked to good and I didn't have one in my collection.
It doesn't need as much cleaning as the NEW M91, but I will take it apart and document everything I can find.
I do this with all my rifles.
Some pictures:More pictures when I'm ready.
Met vriendelijke groet,
Martin
