I only took pics of the top of the barrel cause I found some marks that did not make sense. it is stamped as if its a finn capture, but above the SN is AN what does it mean?

1940 finn capture 91/30. the letters AN above the s/n are english translations of the cyrillic prefixes and were added at import of the rifle into the U.S.
value can be a regional thing on finn capture 91/30's, i'd expect it to go for 150-200 in my area (north alabama), but finn capture 91/30's aren't hard to find around here. my dad picked up a russian refurb 1940 tula a couple weeks ago from a local shop for 85 bucks (not a finn capture).

now, if you can find a 1941 tula, you could probably get a lot more for it! for some reason, 41 tula's all seem to have been packed away in the box with hen's teeth.

....leave me some Finns... ...especially M91's I'm a lil' more poor on the $$ side than you fellas,so it takes me a while.....save 3 or 4 fer me...

on the finn captures...
some of them were stamped SA and went into service if they past the check at av-1 av-2 ect.the finns were fighting for their lives and they were short ammo and weapons.to me these right do have history but wouldn't pay the price some are asking for these rifles.they are still a tula izzy ect with a SA mark.

now a finn tikka ect yes they are worth the bucks and if in excellent condition 300-400 is about right.

I bought my first tikka for 45.00 OTD .I paid 175.00 for a M28/30 (1936) sky that was high at the time but I knew they were kind of rare.
last year I picked up a M27 tikka for 140.00.there was a ad in the paper "selling gun collection".the guy thought it was a M-44 .
deals are out there just keep a eye out.
