Attention New Members and those new registering!
We had a lot of problems with spammers and bot attacks with the stock measures provided by the software. The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username.
If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7.

Thanks for joining us from the administration.

I thought this one was interesting. Must have been taken after the Russkys got their butts severely kicked about mid-1915. Not sure if this is a firing squad. :-o

What's German for "Listo... A-punte.... FUEGO!!"? SW

Interesting pic.
You're right, he doesn't seem to be as happy as the others.

I posted this on another site and have been told the troops are Landwehr (sp) of the 21st Regiment somewhere in Belgium. They do seem a bit well-fed to be straight from the trenches.

That and kinda old... the meatgrinder of the trenches was not a place to age gracefully.

The unhappy soul? Possibly a criminal. I was told a deserter would have been in chains and on his way to becoming target practice for the reserve boyz. :-o SW
