I have a type 44 carbine. its not matching and there is no dust cover, but I think the mum is still there. I have another that's all matching so I was thinking of parting with the mismatch to get something else. Whats something like that worth out there currently? I'll put up some pics later.

Have seen a very nice all matching w/ mum go for around 700-800, dust cover and all. (online sell)

I have one that I got about 2 years ago matching but missing the front site, 200(gun show). Almost impossable to find the front site without buying another rifle. ( For me that is.)

Yours looks to be a earlier one with the first verison of the folding banonet(screws close together). The big thing would be that the front site ears(site guards) are missing.(I think all 44s came with these but early long 38s didnt.) I picked up one of this verison that the front banonet had been cut off(125). The way the site is made is different between the first two verisons, not sure if the 2nd to 3rd sites are the same or not. ( Think that 1st to 3rd will be but not sure.)

Just some observations.

subhunter did this unit (patch) fly P3s.

Thanks, I read more than write, always learning, sometimes the hard way.

( Know a few things about aircraft as I was Air Defence in the Army for most of my 21 years in.)

I put the rifle up on Gunbroker for $400. Got my eye on a real early mosin sniper import. I might put one of my argentine carbines up to and a lebel.
