Picked up an nice type 14 nambu from my local friend, mag does not match but every thing else does, took it to the range, and it worked alright, had one shell case get caught standing straight up. Didnt look up the year or anything yet, been real busy, just glad I got to shoot it!

On the rear right side of the frame will be numbers like "14.9" which translates to September 1939. Add "25" to the first number for the year, second number translates to our calendar month of September.
