No mater the number of 6.50x50 cartridges (1 or 5) the feed into chamber is bumpy at best to more typically a jam with some of the case brass scratched at the base of the heck. I've replaced both the follower and the spring with no improvement. With either set of springs or followers the follower may tip the top cartarage to left side and may slide it fore or aft. This rifle has matching parts where # were available, bolt, stock, etc, with 90% bluing. Before heading to a smith any suggestion would be welcome. |

I would check where the cartridge is contacting the mouth of the chamber. Could be a sharp or roughplace. The word after the "Da" is a name I've been using for 78 years. riceone |

DaBoone I have just found my lineage to Daniel. Daniel's father was Squire Boone, Daniel had a son named Nathaniel, Nathaniel had a son named Thomas, Thomas had a son named Martain, Martain had a son named Van Ruffin, Van had a son named Roggie Hammon and Roggie had a son named Roy and thats me. Martain fought at Vicksburg and my Dad was in WW1 and I was in the military in 1954 and 55. |
