hi everyone

its my first post and i want to introduc me. i am a young ww2 rifle and milsurp collector from Canada (quebec) sorry for my english :).

i collect all sort of milsurp but i prefer the Axis item.

here in canada some sort of gun are prety rare, like the Arisaka

after 2 years of realy hard Search i found the GRAAL !!!!


here My Arisaka Type 99 Short Rifle nagoya Serie 1 with the MUM intact, the monopod, AA sight, chrome Bore etc... i also have the original ruberised sling and
4 original 7.7x58 incendiary round !!!!















for you in the US , its easy to find a good old arisaka but here... we see plenty of SVT-40, mosin, SKS, LEE-Enfield not Japanese and Italian stuff

my question is this Kind of arisaka ( mine is Serie 1 !!!) it is rare to find serie 1 in this condition ????

Welcome and congratulations on a good find.
Over here in the Netherlands you don't see many Arisaka's.
Most WW1 and 2 rifles you find on a range are German and Swedish Mausers, British Lee Enfields, Mosin Nagants(mostly Finnish M-39) and American M1 carbine's, Garand's, P17's and Springfield 1903 A3's.
We call them "Veteran Rifles".

Personally I have never seen an Arisaka on a Dutch range.

i will not shoot the incendiary round beceau here in canada here $%%" Rare and i have a hard time to find this 4 round so... i will search for one more to have one 5 round clip..... i see a lot of japanese ammo on you side of the border but like i said there is a border so ..... i dont think i wil shoot this ammo ( incendiary red collar) i reload so i will shoot my homme made ammo.


do you think its safe to shoot a 70 years old round... ???? in a rifle in perfect condition

Series one's are sort of hard to find, you have a nice one. Glad to see that Canada doses allow it citizens to own rifles. Our administration is determined to rid us of all guns. Then only the bad people will have them. I read an article the other day that said the shortage of ammo here is because the American people are arming themselves faster than the Manufactories can make ammo, not because the Gov. is buying all of it. That made me feel better.

Japanese rifles are very strong, but I'd keep the ammo intact. Type 99's are very nice shooters as well.
