Sweet. I just love the Homemade, the Last Ditch, the Crude but Workable. Germany, too was getting fairly crude in the last days. I remember a Special Forces guy being interviewed , fresh from Afganistan, who said in his only real close brush with death was having a goat herder blow his rifle from his hands with a close up shot from a homemade Enfeild. Seems during a patrol in the mountains, they bupe'd into the Goat boy in the dark and he figured they were rustler, so he took a shot. The SF fellows wounded him and had a good look at their 13 year old taliban, and saw the midnight mistake. Seems the guy was pissed, that after all that training , a kid with a homemade gun could have blown him away. Gos to show, no matter what kina finnish and fit, if it works, well, it works! |

Thanks Gents. I feel warm and fuzzy now.. Left out the defining shot to me. It doesn't even have a hole for a cleaning rod. Forgot these were from the old camera. New ones will be apropriate size. jon |

That's a very nice 40th series Jinsen (these were made in Korea by the Japanese). Note that the dust cover grooves have been deleted. Do all the bolt parts match the last 3 digits of the S/N? |

I don't want this to stay at the top for long, but I haven't been here in a bit(working 7 days a week does that to ya). No grooves and no hole for a cleaning rod were the two most important things for this one...along with the other things detailed in the pics. It is a rare breed I think, that can look at something this god-awfull, and be willing (on the spot) to pay good money for it. You gotta have a little dedication. Thank you all for the kind words. I've satisfied myself on the topic and am looking for other things now. The collection marches on!! jon |
