Edited to say that I was just unhappy with the camera performance...nothing else was intended. New camera and all.

.....sure beats the cell phone camera I use.......

As happy as I am with it in general, taking "set" low-rez pics is an unhappy experience.
Doesn't mean I'm gonna stop!

I went with a just replaced as current Sony Cybershot.
To boot it was a return(that worked fine) that somebody probably took 20 pics and thought it too complicated. That was about $350 plus tax and memory.
It does 8 megapixels and full motion video. I'm happy.
For about a hundred forty you can get awsome point and shoot digital cameras though. You could also spend a couple Grand.
I fall into the "take just enough pictures for fun to need a couple of bells and maybe one whistle" group, so I go for the mid to mid-cheap market.

Congratulations on Having a Kokura with it's correct monopod. The Kokura pod is shaped a little different than the more common Nagoya pod. The "foot" on the Nagoya is more rounded than the Kokura which tends to be more flat.

Kina strikes me as a vet bringback, ...Mum, overall condition and accrutments.

You have quite the collectable there, and maby a bayonnet would just top it off, with the spirit of cold steel and "elan", the ability to down planes, or at least lead them and a nice monopod to rest apon.....Im suprized they didnt figure in a sake Bottle opener, like on a Galil
