The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. If you come back on and your login does not work retry with your username without the 7. Thanks for joining us from the administration.

ok fellows....help me out~
This is/was a sporter t-38 i gave bob years ago...now Numrich arms has parts and a new stockset...bob got the stuff in, and i have spent the afternoon whittlin and tweakin her back together.....but!
whats missing from the bayo end?...is there another piece out there needed?....and the cleaning rod dosen't screw into anything ~ and the stock is a puzzle to get together, so i'm tired of messing with this tonight~ but didn't they screw in? it has threads!
and i need a top buttplate screw...any special flat/dome screw will do it right?

HELP!
P.S.~the rifling in her is perfect, and we have ammo loaded up....but i want the rifle correct 1st~
and yup....the bayo is the one given to me from a fellow worker, no dings in the scabbard and the leather is original!!!

Under the stock there should be a long slot for a flat spring that has a clip to hole the bayonet cap in place. It also serves to hold the cleaning rod in. There is also a metal cap the fits in the wood on the end of the stock. Go back to Numrich and look at the illistration on the T38 stock and you will see what you need. The flat sping thing has a small screw and flat peice and the peice in the end of the stock has a straight pin to hold it in the wood. Looks like a nice rifle. I put one of those stocks on a rifle, they are nice - a little red but close. Also have one on a T99. If i can help emial me. riceone.

i think the stock was around $100, the parts were bought by bob.....
and the 'endcap' may be backordered...the bayo mount is held by a clip in the stock, but the cleaning rod has screwthreads on it also~ did the t-38 screw or clip into the position?

and didn't the front sight need 'ears'?

Cleaning rod held by the clip that holds the bayonet band. It did not screw in. That front sight never had ears. riceone.
