The 7 for registration was a fix that we came up with on our own that has worked quite well. Yes it is a PIA for both you and administration to put you onto your chosen username. Sometime in the early 60's I bought two 1903A3 Sprinfield barrels from the DCM for less than a dollar each. Kept them is the same package they came in till several years back I made the T2 sporter. Still have the other one. I see people selling small parts, one day they will need them. I still got some Confederate bank notes! riceone.

I'm just now getting to where I buy odd parts that I don't need today...
One day I will.
I think that it's the sign of somebody settling into the hobby for real.
It's always good for trade or good-will.

can never have too many parts or stock sets. having a good stockpile of them seems useless to some people, but they can be a gold mine when you need to restore a nice old rifle.

Just keep them organized and labeled, other wise you may end up having no idea what it is your looking at!

speaking of confederate currancy , ive been hearing adds for coinage from jeff davis' treasury that apperantly is being salvaged from a wreck , anyone know it this is legit ? know any particulars of the wreck ?

its suposed to be silver i believe

by the way , ive a few[very few] enfield bits but no US , i guess i should stock some , but then where would i store them ?

i like that idea ---but where di i put the labled tubs ? im just plumb outa space , good thing my office is big or id have to sell some stuff/or worse yet - give it away

RE: Confederate half dollars
A-square they have been recovered off the SS Republic ship wreck. They are regular 1861-O US half dollars (silver) that were minted after the Confederacy took over the New Orleans mint. (and some were minted before and some under the state of Louisiana )
I dont recommend this or any other company and would do more research before a purchase but this will tell you about it
